Mark had always planned to have the summer off. Danielle had not ... until she decided to take advantage of her opportunity. She saw the pros: She had the time, travel partner and desire to hit the road. Thus began the planning for Road Trip 2010. The pair began a Google calendar to keep track of the places they wanted to visit and events they wanted to attend. When a city’s name was mentioned, Mark would search minorleaguebaseball.com to see if he could attend a game; Danielle would search contradancelinks.com to find a contra dance.
On the agenda: Atlanta (family); Lexington, Ky. (dance); Louisville, Ky. (family); Pittsburgh; Gettysburg, Pa.; Reading, Pa. (baseball game with Jim from work and his family); State College, Pa.; Saratoga, N.Y.; Montreal; Quebec (family); Plymouth, Mass. (dance); Cooperstown, N.Y. (umpiring for Little League); Lenox, Mass. (yoga); Cleveland (rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame); Chicago; Milwaukee; Green Bay, Wisc.; Madison, Wisc.; St. Louis, Mo.; and various baseball games (Mark) and contra dances (Danielle).
